[Apophenia : the art of seeing differently] Glass and Crafts Exhibition

2171: The challenge of restoring a historic stained glass window in a futuristic world, where history is being rewritten for political purposes.
Journal of 2171: I find myself with a delicate mission, to restore a stained glass window depicting a popular act, while meeting the demands of the dictator Eon, who wants to rewrite history through the biblical scenes depicted. The stained glass window is located in the basement of the former nursery and has been degraded by time and the vicissitudes of the current society, disfigured by political ideologies and technologies that have alienated individuals in a gilded cage without a door.
Upon arriving at the site, I discover the stained glass window in a deplorable state, with numerous damages and missing pieces. I realize the enormity of the task ahead to restore this work of art and thus preserve its message and history. However, the situation is made even more difficult by the demands of the dictator Eon, who wants me to transform the message to correspond to the vision he wants to impose on society.
Despite the obstacles and pressures, I set to work and restored the stained glass while hiding subtle elements so that the truth emerges for those who can observe the symbols. This required many difficult choices and clashes of ideas with Éon, but I ultimately succeeded !
At the end of this experience, I feel a great satisfaction and immense pride in having been able to create this work of art while saving my life, despite the pressures and difficulties encountered. This restoration also allowed me to showcase my expertise and my universe, through an innovative stained glass technique that replaces lead with UV glue, in order to keep a glass panel as transparent as it is strong while playing with thicknesses.
This experience also made me aware of the importance of preserving art and culture in our society, despite political ideologies and technologies that try to erase them. The restored stained glass window now represents a prenatal ceremony, where the young child is unplugged from an incubator right after downloading a program that ensures its destiny and numerous knowledge. A meta-bot films the event and broadcasts it live, while the father in the background observes the scene through his virtual reality headset. This scene shows how technology has alienated the individual in our society. However, thanks to the subtle symbols hidden in the stained glass, the truth emerges for those who know how to observe and reflect on our history and future, without stopping at surface impressions.
Lucid Dream: Exploring the future of AI through the looking glass.
In this series of glass paintings, I wanted to explore the complex subject of artificial intelligence and its impact on our world using images generated by AI as inspiration. It was a real challenge for me because I had to find the right balance between human creativity and the infinite possibilities offered by technology.
By using abstraction techniques and letting the brute force of my brushstrokes express themselves, I created unique works that reflect my fascination with our future intertwined with artificial intelligence. Each painting is like a window into a strange and fascinating world, filled with organic shapes and complex geometric structures.
To create my own colors, I used grisailles and enamels, which allowed me to obtain subtle and deep shades. This enabled me to bring to life elegant and expressive works that capture the essence of my vision. However, this was not enough. To add an additional dimension to these ecstatic works, I used a glass sandblasting technique.
The result is spectacular: each painting is like a relief sculpture, where light and shadow blend together to create a captivating and hypnotic texture. One can spend hours contemplating these works, which are both simple and complex, inviting the viewer to reflect on our relationship with technology and the challenges that await us in an increasingly connected world.
